Community Partnership

AFAC NEWS

Advocates for Africa’s Children is excited to announce a new chapter to serve vulnerable children and strengthen communities across Africa. After years of successful work in eSwatini (formerly Swaziland), we are now expanding our efforts. We are in Tanzania through a new community partnership with Hope for Children in Adversity.

This expansion represents more than growth. It reflects our commitment to bringing proven, sustainable solutions to communities that are ready to build a brighter future.

Together, we have begun working in the village of Makondeko. From the very beginning, local leadershave played an active role in shaping the vision for the future. As a result, this community partnership focuses on projects that address both immediate needs and long-term opportunities.

Community Partnerships

Community Partnership to Build a School

To begin with, we are investing in education by building a preschool that will provide young children with a strong foundation for learning. Early childhood education plays a vital role in a child’s development and helps prepare students for future academic success.

In addition, we are working alongside local families to create new economic opportunities through agricultural development. These initiatives include poultry production, vegetable farming, and grain cultivation. By providing training, resources, and support, families can generate income, improve food security, and build greater financial stability.

Most importantly, this work empowers the community rather than create dependency. Through this community partnership, local residents help lead the projects, make key decisions, and develop the skills needed to sustain progress for years to come.

Our experience in eSwatini has shown that lasting transformation happens when communities are equipped with the tools and opportunities to succeed. We have witnessed families gain financial independence, children access quality education, and entire communities experience renewed hope.

Now, we are excited to see those same principles take root in Tanzania.

While this work is just beginning, the vision is clear. Together with our partners and the people of Makondeko, we are building pathways to better health, stronger education, and greater economic opportunity.

We invite you to join us on this journey. Through prayer, partnership, and support, you will become a part of a story that brings lasting change to children and families in Tanzania. And this is only the beginning.
